MARTHA McHUGH
The Candidate

Not a
Politician.
A Proven
Leader.

I am running for State Senate because this district deserves serious leadership, clear priorities, and a government that remembers who it is supposed to serve.

My Experience

I grew up here in Albany, one of eight kids in a busy, hardworking family. In a house that full, you learn quickly that nothing is handed to you. You work harder. You stand your ground. You fight for what matters.

That belief led me to nearly two decades of service in New York state government, including as Assistant Commissioner of Health under Governor George Pataki and as a senior leader at the Wadsworth Center.

Why I'm Running

Over time, I watched Albany and communities across this district lose momentum. Too many businesses are gone, too many neighborhoods feel forgotten, and too many families are struggling to keep up.

I am not a career politician. I am a lifelong New Yorker, a mother, a former small business owner, and a public servant who believes this district deserves better.

From Martha

I'm running to restore safety.
Lower costs.
And create opportunity.

It is time to lead again with seriousness, discipline, and a clear sense of who government should serve.
